Your role as a Driver CDL Local As a Full-Time CDL Local Driver at Schroeder Moving Systems, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional moving services. You'll safely and efficiently drive our vehicles from the warehouse to job sites, acting as the crew leader and head mover during loading and unloading operations. Collaborating closely with customers, you will transform the physical relocation of their goods into a stress-free experience. Your responsibilities will include overseeing packing and unpacking, preparing necessary paperwork, and maintaining equipment according to company standards. With irregular hours and the potential for 2-3 days away from home, your leadership and customer service skills will shine as you guide your crew with positive energy and enthusiasm.Knowledge of maps and GPS will ensure efficient navigation, while a commitment to safety and excellence will help you provide top-notch service. To thrive as a Full-Time CDL Local Driver at Schroeder Moving Systems, you'll need a combination of technical skills and personal attributes. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and an excellent driving record. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting effectively with team members and customers, while good organizational and time management skills will ensure smooth operations. You should possess basic mathematical abilities for inventory management and data entry tasks, along with familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance procedures.Problem-solving and reasoning skills are vital for interpreting various instructions and addressing everyday challenges. Physically, you must demonstrate dexterity for handling fragile items and the capacity to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs., with occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs. Adaptability to changing temperatures and working conditions will also serve you well in this dynamic role.Execution and adherence to Uni Group agency compliance and policy guidelines.All employees must pass a background check upon being hired.All employees are subject to a drug test upon being hired.All employees will be put into our random drug testing program during their tenure at Schroeder Moving Systems.
