About the Role: As a Lead Glazier/Installer you will lead one or more crew members conducting installations of custom glass shower doors, partitions, mirrors, stair railings, store fronts or other glass centric products in residential or commercial environments. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, be technically proficient, self-motivated, dependable to work under little or no supervision. Responsibilities: Provides reliable, high quality customer support and consultation with clients while on jobsite. Performs installations, upgrades, and additions for glass shower doors, enclosures, stair railings, mirrors, countertops, storefront framework, hardware, and other projects. Maintain and manage the necessary van stock/inventory (equipment and tools) Manage the operations of the warehouse from receiving to preparing glass for installation. Organizes and utilizes technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks. Monitors and ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks. Willingness to tackle other projects and business needs as they arise. Required Qualifications: Must have five or more years of experience within the residential/commercial glass industry. Must have experience in shower glass installation, glass partitions & glass stair railings. Must have a working knowledge of glass installation equipment and all grades of glass. Must be able to read drawings and / or instructions and install accordingly. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have a customer-focused mindset. Must have a strong work ethic. Must be detail oriented. Preferred Qualifications: Reads and interprets blueprints and CAD drawings Speaks fluent English & Spanish Vocational/Technical degree in aligned area of study. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color. Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc. Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 75lbs. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.
