Lead Food Service Worker - Dam Neck Galley

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Food Service Worker to join our team at the Dam Neck Galley. As a Lead Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the galley, coordinating and supporting the food service team, and delivering exceptional customer service to our patrons. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in food service, strong leadership abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills. Duties and Responsibilities:1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the Dam Neck Galley, ensuring efficient and high-quality food service.2. Oversee and train food service staff, providing guidance and assistance as needed.3. Coordinate work schedules and assignments for the food service team, ensuring adequate coverage and smooth operation of all shifts.4. Monitor food preparation, presentation, and quality to ensure compliance with established standards.5. Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed, including proper handling and storage of food items.6. Work closely with the management team to develop and implement menus, ensuring variety and meeting customer preferences.7. Ensure all equipment and cleaning supplies are properly maintained and stocked.8. Address customer concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to exceed customer expectations.9. Conduct regular inventory checks, order supplies as needed, and maintain inventory records.10. Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.Qualifications:1. High school diploma or GED equivalent required.2. Previous experience in food service, preferably in a supervisory or lead role.3. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.4. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.5. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles.6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.8. Basic math skills for inventory and cash handling.9. Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot kitchen environment.10. Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary security clearances required for the position.
