Job Title: Laundry/Housekeeping Location: Legacy at Herington Job Type: Full-time Overview: As a Laundry/Housekeeping team member at Legacy at Herington, you play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents. Your attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness ensure that our facility exceeds the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene. This position requires a diligent individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to upholding our values of excellence in care.Qualifications: Previous experience in laundry and housekeeping roles preferred Ability to operate laundry equipment and perform cleaning tasks effectively Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends Duties and Responsibilities: Laundry Duties: Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing according to established procedures Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment Ensure that all laundry items are properly labeled, stored, and distributed to the appropriate resident or department Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and storage areas Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and submit orders for replenishment as needed Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures to prevent the spread of illness and maintain a clean environment Housekeeping Duties: Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, and other facility areas according to prescribed standards and schedules Dust, vacuum, mop, and sweep floors as needed Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and showers Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply closets and housekeeping carts Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department supervisor Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned Benefits: Competitive compensation Tuition reimbursement assistance Coverage for license/certificate renewals and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Matching 401K, Life, and Disability insurance Benefits effective from the 1st day following 30 days of employment Paid Time Off Holiday Pay Same Day Pay available Annual Income Increases (at the discretion of the market) And more!
