The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction law, a proven ability to manage client relationships, and a strong book of business. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal team, engage in high-level construction-related cases, and provide exceptional service to a diverse client base.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage and oversee complex construction law cases, including litigation, contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing high-quality legal advice and representation on construction-related matters.Develop and implement legal strategies that align with clients' goals and objectives in construction projects and disputes.Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and related legal documents.Handle claims related to construction defects, delays, breaches of contract, and insurance matters.Represent clients in court, mediation, arbitration, and before regulatory bodies in connection with construction disputes.Collaborate with the legal team on large-scale construction projects and advise on risk management and compliance with industry standards and regulations.Manage and grow a book of business by networking, client development, and maintaining long-term client relationships.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and support staff within the firm.Ensure all case work is conducted in compliance with legal standards and ethical obligations.Requirements:Must have a book of business with a track record of successful client management and case handling.Extensive construction law experience at a boutique-level firm or similar environment.A strong commitment to client service, with the ability to build lasting relationships through excellent communication and legal expertise.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced legal environment.High level of professionalism and ethical standards in handling sensitive client matters.Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a significant caseload.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the Tennessee Bar.Skills:Strong background in construction law, including contract drafting, dispute resolution, and litigation.Excellent negotiation and mediation skills, with a proven track record of successful case outcomes.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments clearly.Solid client relationship management skills, with a focus on delivering top-tier legal services.Ability to develop and grow a book of business through effective networking and client retention.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and precision in legal matters.Proficient in legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing case files.Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while also working independently on complex cases.Experience:Minimum of 10+ years of experience practicing construction law, with a strong emphasis on both transactional and litigation aspects.Benefits:Competitive compensation package, including performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.401(k) with employer contributions.Generous paid time off (PTO) and holidays.Opportunities for professional development, including CLE and mentorship programs.Collaborative work environment with a focus on career growth and development.
