With us, you have the ultimate opportunity to gain new and challenging work experiences and create an unparalleled, direct impact.Title: Laboratory ManagerLocation: Carlsbad, CA (onsite)We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laboratory Manager with expertise in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to oversee the operations of our facility. The Lab Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of the GMP and Cosmetic Research and Development lab, managing resources, and maintaining a safe and compliant working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Product Development and will work in conjunction with the R&D laboratory team.Key Responsibilities: * Oversee day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including equipment maintenance, workspace cleanliness, and inventory management. * Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in lab processes. * Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement of supplies and equipment. * Develop and enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and provide training on lab safety procedures. * Maintain accurate records of safety procedures, incidents, and training activities. * Implement quality control measures to uphold standards of accuracy, precision, and reliability in lab results. * Monitor and analyze data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and optimize experimental protocols. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr Director of Product DevelopmentPreferred Skills and Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline, or equivalent education and directly related years of experience. * 8 or more years of experience in Research and Development laboratory with 2 of those years managing the lab. * Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) preferably in the cosmetic field * Science knowledge of basic chemistry lab techniques * Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. * Demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative environment. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Strong computer skills including familiarity with relevant software including Excel and Word are required.What we offer in return You will be working for an organization that embraces diversity & inclusion and believe we will deliver better outcomes by reflecting the perspectives of our diverse customer base.
