Job Summary: The Key Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and partners to drive revenue growth and ensure customer satisfaction. This role involves developing tailored strategies for key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to meet client needs. The Key Account Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the company's leadership in the market by ensuring clients receive optimal service and support, while contributing to the overall success of the sales team. Supervisory Responsibilities: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team. Set clear sales targets and motivate the team to achieve and exceed them. Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members. Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture. Duties/Responsibilities: Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners. Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the customer base. Address customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Product Knowledge and Training: Stay informed about the cannabis industry, regulatory changes, and the company's product offerings. Train the sales team on product features, benefits, and compliance requirements. Conduct regular product knowledge sessions to keep the team updated on industry trends. Sales Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to track progress against goals. Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Budget Management: Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the sales budget. Ensure that sales activities are aligned with budgetary constraints and financial goals. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Stay informed about cannabis regulations and ensure that the sales team operates in compliance with all applicable laws. Collaborate with legal and regulatory affairs to address compliance issues and updates. Trade Shows and Events: Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and events. Coordinate the participation of the sales team in relevant events to generate leads and build brand awareness. Required Skills/Abilities: Must possess a valid Driver's License. Must have experience managing a sales team of at least 3 direct reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of MS Office Suite for reporting, communication, and analytics. Strong understanding of cannabis products, regulations, and market dynamics. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, events, and industry engagements. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of proven experience in account management or sales management.
