Employers Address: 12355 Sunrise Valley Drive, Suite 220, Reston, Virginia 20191 Place of Employment: 12355 Sunrise Valley Drive, Suite 220, Reston, Virginia 20191 Position: Junior Structural Engineer Job Duties: Conduct structural analysis and design of residential projects (including single and multi-family projects) under the supervision of a senior engineer. Prepare specifications and coordinate design effort with other disciplines. Work cross-functionally with other teams within and outside the engineering department to ensure clients needs and internal deadlines are met. Observe project sites to monitor and ensure conformance to design specifications and standards. Compute load and grade requirements or material stress factors to determine design specifications. Plan and design systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawings tools. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related field. Foreign equivalent degree accepted. Through at least one class from bachelors or higher degree education, must have expertise with advanced structural analysis. Please note that there are no licensing requirements mandated by the Commonwealth of Virginia for this position. Pursuant to section 54.1-401, Code of Virginia, this employee will work under the supervision of a licensed professional. Wage: The wage offered is at least $68,640 per annum.
