Junior Staff Accountant

Job Description: The Junior Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, general ledger entries, account reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, and supporting accounts payable and receivable functions. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and has a strong foundation in accounting principles. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records. Perform general ledger accounting duties including journal entries and reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Support accounts payable functions including invoice processing, coding, and check runs. Assist in accounts receivable activities such as invoicing, payment processing, and collections. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions. Prepare and maintain various financial reports. Support the senior accounting staff with special projects and tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for accounting tasks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-2 years of accounting experience (internships or relevant coursework considered). Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Famous, etc.) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
