Want to work in the new biotech hub in Del Mar Heights. Our expectations for someone in this role include: Assist the senior accountants in recording day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely. Assist with A/P and A/R functions, updating daily and reviewing weekly. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of accounting records by verifying and reconciling documentation and resolving discrepancies. Assist with preparing/inputting general ledger entries and reconcile account balances for the balance sheet and income statement. Assist with preparing month-end journal entries and bank reconciliations and timely close the books for monthly financial statements. Maintain reconciliation forms monthly. Perform Form 1099-MISC, Form 1099-NEC, Form 571, and California Statement of Information filings. Prepare/provide tax-related information and tax data for applicable compliance requirements and disclosures. Provide the parent company a list of transactions biweekly and provide monthly financial statements and supporting documents. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely approvals and resolution of invoice discrepancies. Maintain documentation and record retention in line with company policies and accounting standards. Qualifications: 1 year or more of experience in accounting. Familiarity with internal control systems (Cash Receipts, Disbursements, Payroll, and Operations). General understanding of US GAAP. Bonus points for having the following skills: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business major, highly preferred. Understand Mandarin Chinese, preferred but not required. Experience with QuickBooks online or similar cloud-based, enterprise accounting system. What success looks like for someone in this role: Month 1: Learn the daily transactions and the operational accounting cycle. Build relationships with key stakeholders. Month 2-3: Familiarize yourself with the company’s A/R, A/P, and other accounting processes and operations. Become the go-to person / take on full ownership of the A/P function with limited supervision. Month 6: Assist with Implementing a new A/P dashboard to create real-time, systematic connection with the books to improve efficiency, transparency, and improve internal controls.
