URGENT: Hurricane Relief Janitors & Support Staff Needed Job Summary: We're seeking reliable and compassionate individuals to support hurricane relief efforts. Join our team as Janitors or Support Staff to help restore affected communities. Janitor Responsibilities: - Clean and maintain facilities, including restrooms and common areas - Remove debris and trash - Restock supplies and materials - Assist with setup and teardown of temporary facilities Support Staff Responsibilities : - Provide administrative support - Assist with logistics and supply chain management - Coordinate with relief teams and vendors - Help with food and water distribution - Provide general support to relief efforts Requirements: - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Physical stamina for manual labor (Janitor) - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Valid ID - Background check (may be required) Preferred Experience: - Janitorial or cleaning experience - Customer service or administrative experience (Support Staff) - Disaster relief or volunteer experience Work Environment: - Varied shifts, including evenings and weekends - Outdoor work in varying weather conditions - Temporary facilities or field offices The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in temporary emergency lodging facilities. This role includes cleaning guest rooms, common areas, and restrooms to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to perform tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Clean and sanitize guest rooms, common areas, restrooms, and other assigned areas. - Empty trash, replace linens, and restock supplies as needed. - Follow safety protocols and use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. - Assist with general upkeep to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests. - Report any maintenance or safety issues to management. **Qualifications** - Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus. - Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines. - Strong attention to detail and work ethic. - Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments.
