interpersonal and negotiation skills. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Commitment to meeting or exceeding performance competencies.PRIMARY PURPOSE: To design and maintain robust, scalable software architecture for CMS software systems, oversee programming implementations, and provide strategic consultation on application and system needs.Responsibilities: * Develop, maintain, test, and debug software to meet defined requirements in a Windows client/server environment using languages/environments such as PL/SQL, Oracle, Progress 4 GL ADE, .NET, Microsoft SQL, or others as required. * Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. * Prepare detailed specifications for programming tasks. * Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain software programs. * Gain comprehensive knowledge of application components including reports, parameters, claims management, intake services, and interfaces with carriers, clients, and vendors. * Analyze user needs and assist in designing specifications to meet those requirements. * Develop and modify software based on data processing requests. * Maintain software to meet the requirements of insurance carriers and regulatory groups. * Test and debug assigned projects, supporting testing for other programming staff members. * Prepare comprehensive documentation for new and existing software. * Investigate and resolve escalated support calls related to software issues. * Collaborate in the professional growth and development of programmers. * Follow established departmental standards and guidelines for design and development. * Ensure the delivery and maintenance of high-quality customer service to clients. * Stay updated on software development language revisions and technological advancements. * Perform additional duties as assigned. * Support the organization's quality programs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: * Ensure software scalability, data integrity, and compatibility with business, IT, and infrastructure strategies. * Identify and direct implementation strategies for maintaining JURIS data and application integration. * Collaborate with management and colleagues to define and implement technology initiatives. * Consult with project managers to stay informed of active and future projects, identifying overlaps and synergies. * Assist in implementing large client programs involving system modifications. * Manage analyst/programmers as required and review software change requests for efficiency and feasibility. * Prioritize tactical and strategic change requests based on business priorities. * Assist in forecasting software and hardware requirements for claims-related applications.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform other duties as assigned. * Support the organization's quality programs.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Administer company personnel policies and staffing standards. * Conduct interviews, hiring, and performance development discussions. * Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to maximize team performance.Requirements: * High School Graduate/GED required. * 6+ years of experience in language development or business analytical roles. * Strong knowledge of language development and application design. * Proven expertise as an Oracle PL SQL Developer. * Experience writing packages for data loads and maintaining stored procedures (packages, procedures, functions, and anonymous blocks) with Oracle PL/SQL. * Proficiency using Cursors for data retrieval and tuning SQL queries for performance optimization. * Good understanding of Oracle Explain Plan and relational database design principles. * Analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. * Ability to thrive in a team environment and meet performance competencies.Preferred: * Bachelor's degree in information systems or computer science preferred. * Demonstrated experience interpreting user requirements and designing business applications. * Familiarity with .NET, Progress 4 GL ADE, or other relevant platforms. * Previous involvement in software scalability, data integrity, and integration projects.QUALIFICATIONS: * Education & Licensing: Bachelor's degree in information systems or management preferred; Master's degree strongly preferred. * Experience: Minimum ten (10) years of related experience, including seven (7) years in software development. Hands-on programming experience in database and data-driven applications strongly preferred.
