Department: Global Education Office - International Enrollment PartnershipsClassification: GMU WorkerJob Category: Part-Time / Hourly WageJob Type: Part-TimeLocation: Fairfax, VAWorkplace Type: Hybrid EligibleSalary: Salary commensurate with education and experienceCriminal Background Check: YesAbout the Department:The units directly under the Senior International Officer (SIO) are the Global Education Office (GEO) and International Enrollment Partnerships (IEP); in addition, there is close collaboration with other international-focused units at the university such as INTO Mason, Mason Korea, and the Office of International Programs and Services (OIPS). These units collectively support the internationalization efforts of the university and in support of the Strategic Plan, serving both students studying abroad, as well as international students coming to Mason.International Enrollment Partnerships (IEP) identifies new potential university partners, creates structured enrollment programs, executes new agreements, and maintains existing partnerships to increase the enrollment of international students at George Mason University.About the Position:The International Enrollment Partnerships Program Assistant supports all administrative and operational aspects of international enrollment partnerships including delegation visits, student support, faculty and partner communication, course articulation support, marketing materials, partnership communication, and agreement tracking.Responsibilities:Program Support & Record Keeping * Electronic agreement support: * Monitoring agreement progress; * Assisting Mason faculty and staff to navigate the online system; * Student and partner support: * Monitoring IEP generic email; * Responding to prospective student questions; * Assisting prospective students with application questions; * Routine email communication to students and partners; * Student record support: * Creating and maintaining accurate student lists and records; * Communicating student information to Mason partner offices; * Course articulation support; and * Other duties as assigned. Performance Expectations * Daily responding to emails in the IEP generic email box; responding within 24 hours or elevate as needed; * Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with students, partners, and faculty/staff and communicate student, partner, and faculty/staff needs to IEP staff; and * High level of attention to detail in student record keeping. Accountability * Employee must use appropriate judgement when communicating with students, partners, and faculty/staff or to elevate as needed; and * Employee will report to the Academic Manager. Required Qualifications: * Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; and * Knowledge of general office procedures and email etiquette. Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills; * Demonstrated attention to detail; and * Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population.
