Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Global Strategic Marketing Internal Consultant to join our team. This position will be part time (max 20%) based on a temporary contract for a period of maximum 6 months. The position will be hybrid, located in Wilmington, DE and report to the Director Strategic Marketing Specialty Additives. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: * Support the strategy development and execution for the Architectural Coatings, rheology additives product lines, which include Cellulose Ether and Non-ionic Synthetic Associative Thickeners, as well as associated New Platform Technologies. * Focus on strategic planning for commercial success, and value proposition delivery. * Provide guidance on development, positioning, and launch of new products or new products applications globally by bridging innovation with market demand & aspiration. * Support building plans to increase global market share growth of core products with specific focus on HEC and NSAT product lines globally. * Support the development of Marketing tools & documentation for and in collaboration with Marcom and Regional Marketing. * Track and maximize sustainable and profitable expansion of existing products and their lifecycle stages. To be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: * A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, or related field. * 10 years’ experience with business development and an in-depth knowledge of the Architectural coating’s rheology additives segment. * Ability & desire to function at both strategic and tactical levels. * Strong influencing capabilities, leadership accountability, and process discipline and rigor. * Experience in influencing and indirectly managing cross-functional teams and working collaboratively and globally in a cross-cultural environment. * Strong understanding of marketing strategy development and execution, market and trend research, customer segmentation, communication channel mix. * Excellent communication skills. * Strategic & analytical thinking skills, pleasant and engaging style, and executive presence.
