Do you love interior design? Have a talent for decorating? Always mentally rearranging the furniture in your friend’s apartments? Love popping your head in high-end furniture stores just to dream? Dream no longer - Join us for a paid internship with real hands-on experience in a creative, high-end interior design firm in New York City. As an intern you’ll be assisting the decorating department with the following: Facilitating sample pulls, tracking their delivery, and ensuring timely returns Organizing the sample library Administrative assistance including filing Assisting in the research of interior trends and FF&E options Preparing presentations Creating templates Vendor correspondence Running errands as needed The ideal candidate will possess the following: An eye for detail, someone who only submits their best work An energetic and innovative self-starter that can be relied on to complete tasks in a timely manner Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal A major interest in Interior Design and Decorating (currently studying Interior Design or Architecture a plus) Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel) Working knowledge of CAD, Sketch-Up and Photoshop an advantage Our office is a professional, yet friendly environment that wants to help our interns learn the ins and outs of the Interior Design industry. This is a paid internship that requires at least 16 hours per week (scheduling is flexible as long as it during normal business hours).
