The firm offers competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.Duties and Responsibilities:Analyze and interpret insurance policies to assess coverage issues.Provide legal counsel and advice to clients regarding insurance coverage disputes.Conduct in-depth legal research and draft detailed memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents.Assist in preparing and litigating insurance coverage cases in state and federal courts.Manage and oversee insurance-related claims and cases from inception to resolution.Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and solutions.Attend and participate in client meetings, hearings, depositions, and settlement conferences.Maintain and foster strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and ensuring client satisfaction.Stay updated on changes in insurance law and industry trends to provide informed advice.Review and analyze documents related to insurance claims, including policies, contracts, and court rulings.Draft demand letters, negotiate settlements, and participate in mediation or arbitration as required.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in New York State and good standing.Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, with a focus on insurance coverage preferred.Demonstrated interest in insurance law; prior insurance coverage experience is a plus.Strong knowledge of legal principles, insurance regulations, and policy interpretation.Skills:Excellent legal research and writing skills, with attention to detail.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.Analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex coverage issues.Effective oral and written communication skills for court appearances and client interactions.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.Certifications:Admission to the New York State Bar (required).Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (required).Benefits Offered:Medical and dental insurance.Group term life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance.Long-term disability insurance.Optional term life insurance.Flexible spending accounts.Aflac supplemental insurance.401(k) retirement plan.Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.Referral bonuses.
