STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS (S3) HAS AN OPENING! Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for an Infrastructure Analyst for a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients located in New Hill, NC! Title : Infrastructure Analyst Location: New Hill, NC (Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months Role Type: W2 contract engagement*This position is onsite at a Nuclear Facility and requires a clearance. Position Summary: * Provide enterprise level support of technologies needed for infrastructure and business applications.* Major accountabilities include, but are not limited to implementation, support and updates of system monitoring tools, such as SCOM or Dynatrace.* These technologies include, but are not limited to servers, storage systems, network devices, and virtualization platforms.* Integrate software to enable usage, support, and monitoring of various hardware technologies.* Develop and maintain routine work procedures and define standard installation and upgrade methodologies.* Responsibilities may include evaluation, acquisition, installation, integration testing, upgrading components and performance monitoring.* Installs and/or supports computer systems.* Facilitates technical and business planning for upgrades.* Provides technical guidance related to software and hardware to members of the IT staff. Develops (or assists in developing) standards for IT software and hardware.* Assists in the design and implementation of required systems. Integrates software and hardware configurations to maximize performance.* Coordinates hardware and software upgrades with other areas of IT or other business units.* Prepares activity and progress reports regarding individual and project activity.* Keeps abreast of new hardware and software developments, evaluates alternative approaches, and recommends new software or upgrades which enhance operations.* Support all Nuclear Refueling Outages Infrastructure Requirements.* Ensure trailers have connectivity, wireless, etc.* Install temporary switches/APs throughout the site for specific critical outage. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent direct work related experience. In lieu of a degree, 8 years related business experience.* Work experience in addition to a degree: 3-4 years.* Practical experience with Operating Systems for Windows and Linux, Software and Hardware.* General computer usage and support skills.
