This position is for an INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIANStarting pay of $31.56 per hour + $0.50 shift differential for 2nd and $1.00 for 3rd shift Continuous Shift - 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM; Four days on and four days offWhat we offer you: * Starting pay of $31.56 per hour * $0.50 shift differential for 2nd shift, $1.00 for 3rd * Overtime available * Comprehensive benefits package, including medical & prescription, dental, vision, life & AD&D insurance, short & long-term disability coverage, prorated vacation and 10 paid holidays, 401k with a 3% match, HSA available after your first full month * Quarterly bonus potential based on safety, waste, quality, and productivity performance * Add-on benefits include pet insurance, MSK programs (Hinge Health and Regenexx) telemedicine, Livongo for diabetes and hypertension, and more * Culture of advancement and growth - 40% of plant management were promoted from within * We invest in you with on-the-job training, classes, and tuition reimbursement as needed * An opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with a multi-cultural and diverse team * We care about your safety, which means we do what is needed to protect our employees and that's reflected in our "Drive to Zero Injuries" initiative results. * Kenosha is Silgan's first facility to achieve zero waste to landfill in 2020.What you will do: * Analyze all types of mechanical, operational, or electrical troubles and plan for and take corrective action * Perform maintenance, wiring and installation of motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting testing and power circuits * Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify all electrical systems * Create and maintain up-to-date layouts of electrical circuits * Work with Allen Bradley systems, VFD's, PLC's hardware and software, AC/DC circuits, 4-20 mA circuits and 440 MCC's * Read and comprehend blueprints, schematicsand drawings, handbooks, specifications, equipment manuals, and parts lists * Other duties as assigned by managementJob Requirements: * Knowledge of state and local electrical codes * Ability to read and comprehend electrical blueprints and schematic drawings * Have thorough knowledge of industrial wiring, motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting, testing and power circuits * Basic computer skills * Deep understanding of electrical gauges, recording instruments, electronic sensing units and other related equipment * Familiarity with Allen Bradley systems, VFD's, PLC's hardware & software, AC/DC circuits, 4-20mA circuits & 440 MCC's * Understanding of Electrical Theory and Principles, wiring specifications, codes, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipmentExperience/Education: * High school diploma or equivalent with a trade school certification * 3+ years experience as an electrician in a manufacturing environment * Confined space trained and qualifiedPreferred requirements: * Ability to write code and demonstrate a working knowledge of RS logicWho we are: * America's largest metal food packaging producer. * A company that strives toward sustainability by reducing our carbon footprint, selecting like-minded suppliers, and providing recyclable products.LIMITATIONS AND DISCLAIMERThe above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.All job requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
