Job Title: HR Manager Department: Foundation Administration Reports To: Executive Director FLSA Status: Non-Exempt FTE: 1.0 FTE Salary Range : $60,000 - $70,000 Work Type: Hybrid SUMMARY We are currently seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our research company. As an HR Manager in the research industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent communication and intrapersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES other duties as assigned. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations and with HR best practices. Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. Coordinate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and employee development plans. Oversee employee relations and handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions. Oversee Payroll Specialist and payroll administration, including benefits enrollment and management. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure confidentiality of HR information. Provide HR support and guidance to managers and employees, including interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Assess training needs and manage training programs. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree; at least five years' experience; or any combination of education, training or work experience which provides the required skill set to perform the essential functions of the job. Strong knowledge and understanding of labor laws and regulations. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively and develop strong employee relations. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company Superior organization skills, and experience managing overhaul of systems and procedures. Experience with MS office applications with demonstrated ability to use technology tools to solve problems and increase efficiencies. 3-5 years' experience with ADP-Workforce Now platform LOCATION and ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Primary job location is located on the VA Portland Health Care System campus New employees must submit COVID-19 vaccination documentation or seek an exemption within 8 weeks of beginning employment.
