Human Resource Business Partner About Cyclyx Cyclyx International, LLC, is leading the development of a comprehensive set of innovations focused on addressing the world's plastic waste problem with the ultimate goal of increasing the recyclability of waste plastics from 10% to 90%. Cyclyx has developed the ability to assess waste plastics by their chemical properties vs object identification and then using its algorithms to make custom blended feedstock for various mechanical and chemical recyclers specifications providing new recycling options that have not traditionally existed. To scale the technology, Cyclyx has also developed a unique plastic processing facility called the Cyclyx Circularity Center (CCC) to process the waste plastics with new methodologies and has also developed a series of landfill deferral programs to divert waste plastics away from the landfill. The innovations Cyclyx has developed provide a disruptive platform for the existing recycling industry and we are looking for highly motivated, creative, and resourceful leaders to join our mission. Cyclyx International, LLC, is a joint venture formed in January 2021 whose current members include Agilyx ASA, ExxonMobil and LyondellBasell. Role Overview Summary: Over the next few months, your fundamental and primary responsibility will become the business partner with the managers of the Cyclyx Circularity Center (the CCC) which is under construction in Houston, TX . As such, you will work hand-in-glove with CCCs manager to support the staffing of their teams so that each of their teams can effectively and efficiently deliver the critical contribution of those teams to the facilities success. As this facility will not be operational until Aprill of 2025, you will be an integral part of the corporate HR team to help sustain the culture as the company grows and leverage your comprehensive expertise and experience to provide HR administrative tasks, compliance, benefits, and payroll processing . It is highly likely that some or all of the HR Admin/Benefits/Compliance/Payroll work will be reassigned as the company grows and additional HR Professionals are added to the team. The ideal candidate will thrive on fostering a strong, positive company culture that empowers and engages employees. Your proficiency in the Paylocity HRIS system is a must-have, enabling you to streamline HR processes and ensure efficient operations. Responsibilities: Oversee HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, onboarding, and offboarding processes. Ensure compliance with labor regulations and company policies. Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment and communication. Handle payroll processing, including data entry, verification, and troubleshooting. Utilize Paylocity HRIS system to streamline HR processes and maintain data accuracy. Assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures. Participate in HR projects and initiatives to support organizational growth and development. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and employee engagement through effective communication, and recognition programs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in HR management, Business Administration, or related field. Proven 7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role. In-depth knowledge of HR practices, compliance, and regulations. Familiarity with benefits administration and payroll processing procedures. Proficiency in Paylocity HRIS system is a must. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Hands-on experience working in a manufacturing or production plant environment is highly desirable. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Position Mechanics Reports To : VP, Human Resources Type : Salaried; full time Regular Office Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm Staff : No direct reports Location : Houston, TX Work Environment : Professional office and remote office Travel : The work will mostly be performed locally, though occasional travel should be expected Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status.
