Hospitalist opening in Western North Carolina - Located in Hickory, NC - Charlotte 58m - Full-time, permanent position - Employed opportunityCurrently searching for a BC/BE Hospitalist to join our team. This physician would join 14 hospitalists and 9 APPs with many years of experience and are highly trained. Join a 258-bed, independently owned, non-profit medical center Position is Hospital Employed 7 on/ 7 off, rotating days, evenings, nights 16 bed, open ICU (with 4 overflow beds) Extremely busy ED with 60+visits/year 15-18 patients per provider EMR is Meditech Competitive base salary plus productivity based bonus Comprehensive employee benefits, malpractice, and reimbursed CME time Relocation and sign-on offered Hickory was just ranked 26th in the list of Best Places to Live in the Country by U.S. News and World Report. The city of Hickory has a population of about 48,000, but a service area of over 350,000. It is a safe, family friendly community that offers an abundance of outdoor activities, a variety of shopping and restaurants, a low cost of living, and close proximity to an international airport. Hickory is just 45 minutes NW of Charlotte, an hour east of Asheville, and 4 hours from the coast. The mountains of the high country are also an hour away and offer additional outdoor activities, including snow skiing and tubing.
