Regional health care provider serving a six-county area in central Pennsylvania is seeking a BE/BC Hospitalist. Hospitalist Service offers an exciting hospital medicine career opportunity for a BC/BE internal or family medicine physician in a well-established and dynamic program. The service is currently comprised of 25 physicians and 15+ APPs who work and provide occasional emergency coverage at another hospital. Our team provides inpatient care with the support of medical and surgical specialists and a fully-staffed Intensivist Service to provide the best possible patient experience. About The Opportunity Each physician treats an average of 15-18 adult inpatients per day from admission through discharge, conducting history and physical assessments, strategizing to manage and improve patient health, and attempting to reduce length of stay through safe, medical practices and recommended treatment plans. Work schedule is typically 7 days on, 7 days off, 12-hour shifts, with night call covered by nocturnists. Intensivist Service covers ICU. No OB or peds. No procedures, and no responsibility for code response Competitive compensation and benefits package includes an income guarantee, sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, annual CME stipend, paid vacation, health/dental/vision and life insurance, retirement benefits and malpractice insurance. Hospital is a level II trauma center, a regional cardiology, cardiac & vascular surgery center, a regional cancer center, and a JCAHO-Accredited Stroke Center. In addition, it provides endovascular surgery, neurointervention and neurosurgery, behavioral health and a vascular and wound care center. The medical staff is comprised of approximately 400 primary care physicians and specialists: a world-renowned healthcare provider and insurer based in Pittsburgh, PA. System operates 40 hospitals, 700 doctors offices and outpatient sites, employs over 4,900 physicians and 87,000+employees, and offers an array of rehabilitation, retirement, and long-term care facilities and is closely affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh.
