Interim HealthCare -of West Michigan -is a locally owned and operated leader in post-acute care services in West Michigan. -Give of your time, when time matters most.We are -now seeking -Hospice Companion Volunteers -to serve -within our growing -Hospice -Division. This is an unpaid volunteer position.#HospiceYour Volunteer Role - Read to your patient, lend a smile, listen to another's life-journey, share the joy of music, a favorite show, or play a card game. If you're more comfortable volunteering in an administrative role, we have opportunities at our Corporate Hospice office to give a hand as office team support This is a flexible role, and whatever time you have to give is appreciated and will be accommodatedOur Personality - Leadership is available to confer, consult and advise at any time You are encouraged to speak professionally and freely You are valued, seen, and heard as a volunteer We have a sense of humor, and we know how to use itVolunteer Responsibilities - After being contacted, fill out the official application and background check form Participate in an interview -process Participate in an initial volunteer training and orientation Spend time serving your assigned patient or fulfilling administrative duties Communicate consistently and regularly with your Volunteer Coordinator Documentation in EMR -Volunteer Requirements Must be 18 years of age Reliable transportation with valid state driver's license and current car insurance Kind, compassionate, reliable, and emotionally composed Interim HealthCare -is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
