Each of these experiences helps students to see beyond the classroom and to see the world - and themselves - in new ways. Chaperones provide positive leadership while supervising students and ensuring everyone's safety and well-being while participating in the Honors Performance Series (HPS). Responsibilities Supervision & Guidance: Provide responsible and attentive supervision to approximately 15-17 high school music students during rehearsals, performances, and off-site events in various locations across London. Safety & Well-being: Ensure the safety, well-being, and appropriate behavior of students at all times, including during travel to and from events. Attendance Management: Keep track of student attendance during rehearsals and events, promptly reporting any unexplained absences to the appropriate Senior Chaperone and/or program management team. Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and coordinating logistics as requested. Including greeting students and families on arrival day, distributing event tickets, and assisting with final day departures from the hotel. Emergency Response: Be familiar with and follow established emergency procedures, responding promptly and effectively in case of any emergencies. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and other members of the team to ensure everyone is well-informed about schedules, expectations, and any updates related to events taking place during the series. Role Model: Serve as a positive role model for students by demonstrating professionalism, punctuality, and a commitment to the program's values. Housing and ground transportation to/from all activities are included. Additional Information Family members and boosters are not eligible to be hired for this position. Preference is given to prior chaperones, those who have finalists participating in this Series, and those who have demonstrated a successful record of working with students. All successful candidates are required to pass a fingerprint scree and background check. Accommodation in a double occupancy hotel room is provided. Field Music background (preferred) Experience working with High School students (preferably in a music-related context) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to remain composed under pressure and handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy Availability to work evenings and weekends (as required by the program's schedule) Qualified candidates must have or be able to obtain a valid passport to travel outside of the U.S. during the program's schedule Available to work onsite, in Sydney, AUS, during program dates: July 5-15, 2025 (required) Not Eligible
