Job Description Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims. Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Responsible for creating or auditing a comprehensive estimate of damages for homeowners first party claims leading to the proper disposition.This is a remote position, however, candidate must be located in the Tucson, AZ area.Job Summary:Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims. Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for homeowners first party claims leading to the proper disposition.Key Responsibilities:Demonstrates proficient estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on advanced first party homeowners claimsDemonstrates sound understanding of the content of all policy types written by the companyNegotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within authority limitsApplies a sound understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practicesBuilds functional relationships with both internal and external customersSupervisory Responsibilities:This job does not have supervisory dutiesPreferred Qualifications:Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience2 or more years of related experienceCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsAbility to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as requiredFunctional SkillsPossess knowledge of estimatics software, Xactimate and comparable tools.Strong interpersonal skillsAbility to operate electronic devices including computers, cameras and cell phonesStrong verbal and written communication skillsEffective skills in time management, organization, and the ability to work under pressureAbility to adhere to project deadlines and remain flexible in a changing environment#LI-JG1 Compensation At National General, great things happen when our people work together.
