Job Responsibilities 25 Operates CDL Class A licensed vehicles. :Operates maintenance trucks, pavement marking equipment, tractors, mowing machines, snowplows, slat spreaders as well as other equipment including compressors, jack hammer, generators, road graders, backhoes, bull dozers, excavators, digger derrick/bucket truck, sewer/Vactor truck and other equipment.:Washes, greases and conducts minor repairs and preventative maintenance activities of these vehicles and equipment. 25 Performs labor relating to maintenance of roadway signage. :Repairs, replaces and patches concrete, bituminous and other roadway surfaces.:Loads/unloads trucks.:Spreads salt, sand, gravel and asphalt.:Fills in shoulder ruts.:Cleans and repairs bridges.:Fills, fires and operates asphalt kettles.:Fills pavement cracks and joints.:Directs and controls traffic during road maintenance operations. 20 During snow and ice conditions, operates snowplows and spreads salt and sand. :Plows and
