Description:
Seeking a Locums Hematologist Physician in Plattsburgh, NY. The physician will provide expert clinical care to patients with hematological disorders during scheduled clinic hours. Duties include performing comprehensive assessments, making diagnoses, and developing treatment plans. They will conduct clinic visits to evaluate and manage patients with various hematological conditions, including performing necessary procedures such as bone marrow biopsies. Managing a patient load averaging between 12 to 16 patients daily, adjustments made based on diagnoses and complexity levels. The position requires Monday to Friday availability from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, totaling 40 hours per week. There is an on-call rotation of 1/4 weekends, with additional compensation provided. Call rotation spans Monday through Sunday, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Requirements: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. Residency training in internal medicine followed by fellowship training in hematology. Board certification or eligibility in hematology. Active medical license in the state of New York.
