Summary ** NEW LOCATION BLACK ROCK CT **Position:Head Teacher Start Date: August 2024 Location: Black RockFull-Time Sprouts Nursery Playschool is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3-6. Our mission is to foster a love for learning and development through a balanced approach that combines play, exploration, and structured educational activities.We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Head Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold an OEC Head Teacher certificate and have experience working with young children in an educational setting. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the classroom, implementing curriculum, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for our students. Duties Implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum for children aged 3-6.- Observe and support children in the classroom.- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.- Monitor and document children?s progress and development.- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child?s growth and needs.- Ensure compliance with all state regulations and standards for early childhood education.- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Requirements Must hold an OEC Head Teacher certificate.- Previous experience working with children aged 3-6 in an educational setting.- Strong understanding of early childhood development and education best practices.- Excellent communication and organizational skills.- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the wider school community.- A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to the wellbeing and development of young children.
