SignalFire Wireless Telemetry designs and manufactures low-powered industrial solutions for reliable, user-friendly sensing, controlling, and monitoring - without the use of wires. Our platform is compatible with most industrial sensors and available with 900MHz Radio Frequency or Cellular & Cloud with LTE-M1 for flexibility and cost effectiveness. These products are robust and certified for hazardous locations with a built-in secure communication protocol that enables long-distance wireless communication connecting multiple devices together in challenging outdoor environments. Our objective is to provide users with the solution they need to digitally transform their operations with the use of existing or new sensors without running wires, cables, and conduit. POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a Hardware Engineer to work directly with the CTO and the firmware design team on developing SignalFire's industrial 900MHz wireless and cellular remote monitoring and control devices including new designs, design revisions, design for manufacturing, documentation, and test. Key Responsibilities: Mixed-signal electronic hardware engineering, including product revisions and new circuit designs. Experience with designing low power electronics and RF circuits is a plus Troubleshooting and processing returned equipment, root cause failure analysis New product certification including FCC/IC, CE, IEC, and hazardous location approvals Component selection and selection of alternate components for cost/supply reasons Maintain, improve and troubleshoot automated test fixtures used in production Troubleshoot and re-work failed PCB assemblies down to the component level Validate designs including circuit testing, troubleshooting, environmental testing POSITION Qualifications : 5-10 years in a hardware engineering role BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education Develop and maintain schematics, PCB layout and associated documentation Experience with Altium Designer or similar EDA software tools. Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols (e.g. I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet) and their implementation. Conduct design reviews and provide feedback on product design, feasibility and manufacturability. Strong troubleshooting skills down to the component level Strong verbal and written communications skills S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer Self-motivated, self-driven, able to proactively locate areas of improvement in products and processes and address issues Goal oriented, capable of identifying and implementing features from basic requirements You are a team player who is comfortable working in a non-hierarchical business.
