We are looking for an experienced GSA Contract Specialist to join our team, focusing on federal contracting with GSA schedules. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in securing business with key government agencies, such as the Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and USDA etc., This role involves managing the full lifecycle of GSA contracts, from solicitation and bid preparation to award, administration, and closeout. Additionally, the GSA Contract Specialist will expand our business network within federal agencies, engage in industry events, and stay current on market trends to ensure continued success in securing government contracts. This is a full-time, remote position with a base salary plus commissions, and the candidate must reside in the Northeast region or Washington, D.C. area. Key Attributes include Contract Management, Vendor Management, Industry Engagement, Networking and Communication, Market Research and Business Development. Key responsibilities include overseeing all phases of the GSA contract process, leading bid preparation and submissions, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations such as FAR, DFARS, and GSA schedule guidelines. The Specialist will also conduct market research to identify new opportunities, attend industry presentations, and leverage existing contacts to develop new business relationships. A critical aspect of the role is daily collaboration with the Director of Operations to track progress on bids, submissions, and awards using tools like Microsoft Teams and Trello. Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in federal contracting and proficiency with contract management software, GSA eBuy, and other procurement tools. The position requires up to 50% travel for client meetings and industry events.
