Pay Range: $45-55/hour The Place: The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (OFJCC) is an exciting and innovative non-profit organization in the heart of Silicon Valley. We create fun, meaningful, inclusive and joyful experiences through educational, social, cultural, spiritual, fitness and wellness programs. Join us! Year-round positions available! The Classes : The OFJCC is seeking group fitness instructors who are c urrently certified to teach Aqua Fitness classes The Core Duties: Create and deliver new, fresh and innovative group exercise classes Stay up to date on current fitness and class trends in area(s) of expertise Provide a safe, fun and motivating class to all participants Provide appropriate modifications and progressions for a wide range of fitness levels Provide excellent and courteous customer service to members Communicate with Group Exercise Manager on member feedback, equipment needs and operational status, scheduling, and subbing The Perks: Free membership at our award-winning fitness center Unlimited access to our new R&R room - with a focus on Recovery Reimbursement for continuing education certification and conference fees Employee discount program OFJCC swag Fun, motivating workplace Free Coffee!! The Essentials: Current Aqua Fitness certification Prior experience teaching Group Exercise classes Confident in your professionalism and a passion to motivate others Current CPR/AED certification Working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology and training principals Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies and the incorporations of music, tempo, cueing technique, and rhythm Continue to earn all necessary Continuing Education Credit’s (CECs or CEUs) Collaborative and a flexible leader in and out of the studio Extensive knowledge of classes being taught Excellent communication skills Visit www.paloaltojcc.org for more!
