Position Adjunct Instructor of Art - Graphic Design Description The Department of Art is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Adjunct Professor of Graphic Design. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the education of aspiring designers by teaching foundation-level studio and graphic design courses. Responsibilities Teach foundation-level studio courses in graphic design. Instruct the use of industry-standard software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Facilitate learning of principles of art and design Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship of students. Collaborate with department faculty to enhance curriculum and student learning experiences. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to foster their growth and development as creative professionals. Engage in professional development activities related to professional field. Participate in departmental meetings and other activities as needed. Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Bachelor's degree or higher in Art, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Evidence of scholarly activity or research in the field of graphic design. Experience teaching graphic design courses at the college level preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment.
