For immediate consideration, please follow the link to apply: Grants & Business Development Coordinator Application Position Summary Responsible managing and developing grants opportunities, defining simulation parameters, and organizing simulation files and procedures, assisting with business development needs, VIP and MITAGS Visitor Site Tours. Direct Report : Emily Hopkins, Catherine Gianelloni (West & East Campus Directors) Grants Supervisor: Executive Director MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Grant Writing and Submission · Research and find potential grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission and programs.· Write and prepare compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation.· Submit grant applications on time and ensure compliance with all grant requirements.· Build new relationships in the grant community.· Manage construction projects for grants. Grant Management: · Develop and maintain a comprehensive grant calendar to track application deadlines and reporting requirements.· Manage the entire grant cycle, from application to final reporting, ensuring all deliverables are met.· Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all grant materials. Funder Relations: · Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential funders.· Communicate regularly with funders to provide updates, respond to inquiries, and ensure ongoing support. Research and Strategy: · Stay informed about trends and best practices in grant writing and fundraising.· Conduct research on potential funders, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies.· Develop and implement strategies to increase grant revenue and diversify funding sources.· Reporting and Documentation:· Prepare and submit required reports to funders, ensuring all grant conditions are met.· Maintain accurate records of grant activities, including proposals submitted, grants awarded, and funder communications.· Analyze grant outcomes and prepare reports for senior management. Simulation Project Manager/Coordinator : 25 % of time · Create and customize research project proposals.· Planning - create project/class checklist; interface with clients to define project parameters and details in advance.· Complete simulation schedule with details for each session (corresponding with the instructor on area, ship, and exercise goals)· Checking upcoming exercises for classes and trainings (opening and loading upcoming exercises)· Conduct ship validation with captains, recording recommendations and findings. · Create and maintain procedures for all simulators (turning on/off, choosing correct routers, location of exercises) and processes (streaming, printing, remote operating)· During projects, record data and manage pilot and tug operator surveys and take notes of discussions and salient points.· Follow-up with clients after the project· Assist in ensuring final reports are completed on time. · Assist with organizing and storing all models and areas with extensive notes on SVN.· Manage supplies and orders (delivery and schedules) Business Development Assist · Be on-site liaison for research, pilots, and VIPs (handle special meals, rooms, travel, support letters, etc.) · Coordinate and greet VIP clients.· Schedule and run simulator tours.· Organize events (i.e., Engineering Week) DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS · Ability to professionally interface with clients, operators, and instructors (hospitality experience a plus)· Strategic account management (sales experience a plus)· Knowledge of simulator/maritime training industry· Knowledge of Microsoft Office· Previous grant writing experience· Understanding of MITAGS mission statement· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Non-Profit Management or related discipline· Understanding of federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements· Strong analytical abilities to review and interpret complex data.· High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and reporting For immediate consideration, please follow the link to apply: Grants & Business Development Coordinator Application Powered by JazzHR
