University Preparatory Charter school for young Men Position Description JOB TITLE: Grade Level Manager LOCATION: University Preparatory Charter School for Young Men IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Safety & Security Type: Administrator- 10 Months Starting Salary Range: $47,500-$55,000 University Preparatory Charter School for Young Men is currently seeking candidates for a Grade Level Manager position for the 2024-2025 school year. SUMMARY: The purpose of the GLM is to enhance student attendance, student achievement, character development, and reduce student behaviors that lead to discipline. Support safety & security of the campus. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS: DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive fidelity of school culture systems across the school, including behavior management, restorative justice, attendance, and more. Maintains complete and accurate records from each student. Analyze school wide culture data and make adjustments to ensure fidelity to common picture. Facilitates or assists student support teams in the development and implementation of behavioral support plans, behavioral intervention plans and crisis plans Work with families and partners to understand and address the needs of students, develop support systems and address crises and issues that inhibit student success, including creating and implementing attendance, behavior, and academic plans (In collaboration with other school staff). Support alternative programs. Observe and give feedback on school wide systems and classroom culture. Performs additional duties assigned by the Director of Safety & Security. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Support students in academics, including integrating academic and social/emotional goals Support students in college and career readiness programing, including field trips, guest speakers, and community service Assists faculty sponsors/coaches of the non-athletic events and stays aware of related activities. Safety & Security: In conjunction with administration, develops and maintains procedures which provide for the safety and security of staff and students and when necessary recommends to the Director of Safety & Security and CEO suspensions. Ensure Security patrols the parking lot and grounds to monitor compliance with policies. Advises students of school rules. Ensures that the students maintain order in hallways, stairwells, cafeteria, and transitioning from main building to CTE building. Confers with students, parents, and adults in community concerning developments within and outside the school which may affect the safety and security of students. Reports to the Director of Safety & Security any emergency situation which may require police assistance. Performs additional duties assigned by Director of Safety & security. OTHER: Meets with students and parents on school-related problems; Maintains records of activities with students and parents; Participates in student conferences on school-related problems with teachers and student support staff; Assists in data collection; Makes school, home and agency visits; Participates in parent and student workshops and conferences; Develops basic written reports regarding student progress. Participates in staff meetings and trainings Support Summer School Program KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and have demonstrated the ability to do so through prior experience and training.
