As we continue to expand our team, we are seeking an innovative and visionary Global Controller to help us on our journey. We operate in 12 legal entities globally with Finance and Accounting in local jurisdictions to support the local entities. Bose Professional is now an independent business, separate from Bose Corporation, offering an incredible opportunity for you to play a key leadership role in helping to build a world class finance function for a complex global business. You will report directly to the CFO and the position will have exposure to top leadership, including the CEO and functional leaders globally to grow the business and control expenses. Key Responsibilities: Month End Close & Consolidations Oversee all activities within accounting operations (General Ledger, Tax, Audit, AP, AR, Capital Expenses, Fixed Assets) on a global scale Monthly closings, consolidation and preparation of consolidated financial results Maintain monthly closing calendar, with appropriate deadlines to ensure timely closing. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures consistent with US GAAP Manage performance of all accounting resources internally and externally (Shared Services) Internal Controls Safeguard the company’s assets, establish, and maintain corporate accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure conformance with accounting policies and procedures and other laws/regulations. Build the internal control environment, processes, policies and standard operating procedures Ensure cost and expense control procedures are in place and analyze cash flow and expenses to guide the executive team Support Performance Management Oversee and direct the preparation of reports that summarize business results (revenue, expense and earnings) and financial position (balance sheet and cash flow) Work with the Director of Corporate FP&A in preparing robust financial reporting packaging, including insightful analysis of key variances vs. budget and prior year, for use by the executive team, investors and lenders Work with other members of the finance team to support the CFO and executive team on key business decisions Work with CFO and other members of the executive leadership team to prepare corporate materials Tax - Filings and Returns Work with the CFO and 3 rd party local tax advisors Help to ensure compliance with local, federal and foreign taxes Complete quarterly and year-end tax provisions Manage external auditors and ensure completeness of all documentation required for annual audits. Own robust quarterly review of transfer pricing agreements between legal entities Fiscal Year Audits Lead and manage the year-end external audit process in coordination with the local finance teams. Interact directly with the external auditors. Asset Based Lender Audits & Lender Reporting Lead and manage the Asset Based Lender audit in coordination with the local finance teams. Interact directly with the external auditors. Work with the CFO in maintaining compliance with our client’s bank credit agreements including financial and non-financial covenants reporting Actively work with local teams to limit the number of reserves placed on borrowing base calculations Other Work together with CFO Strategize improvements and automation within the organization. Champion company culture of continuous improvement. Set priorities and goals for the department based on KPI’s to drive business growth Global understanding of business treasury and foreign exchange hedging. Working knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes and KPI’s Qualifications: Minimum 12-15 years working experience with a track record of demonstrated success and progressive responsibility. A successful candidate will have held previous roles as a global controller of a scaled business with sales, people and operations across global regions (Americas, APAC, EMEA, LATAM). Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field CPA and/or MBA designation required NetSuite or other large ERP experience required Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office particularly in Excel, PowerPoint and Word required Champion company culture of continuous improvement. Set priorities and goals for the department based on KPI’s to drive business growth Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written Professionally handle sensitive information Experience with M&A and Business Restructuring concepts required.
