Description:
TSi Geotechnical, Inc. is a specialized practice in geotechnical engineering, drilling and sampling, materials testing, and construction observation and documentation. We have extensive experience in a variety of projects in building design and renovation, as well as roads, bridges, water, wastewater and storm water with offices in Kansas City, St. Louis, and Bloomington-Normal, IL. A Lead Driller is a physically demanding position and the ideal candidate must have the ability to routinely lift 75 lbs., enjoy working outdoors, and possess a satisfactory driving record. Essential Duties and Responsibilities to include but are not limited to: Performing drilling services and well installations by operating drilling equipment to bore exploratory vertical holes into the earth to evaluate soil and rock type and strength characteristics. Performs manual labor by assembling and disassembling equipment. Cleans and maintains trucks and drill rigs. Gets equipment together for that day's projects. Follows safety procedures. May operate misc. equipment such as pneumatic jackhammers for breaking of concrete and operation of water/steam pressure washers to wash the drilling equipment, rods, augers, bits, casings, trucks, and trailers. Other duties may be assigned. Manage 1-2 Driller's Assistants Position Requirements High school diploma/GED. Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's driver license (CLASS A CDL preferred) and have the willingness to use personal and/or company vehicle in the course of employment. Must be able to operate heavy equipment and perform manual labor as described in job description. Must have reliable transportation and be available for overtime and weekend work as needed. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme conditions. Ability to read drawings for boring layouts. Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on detail, and follow work rules. Must possess Safety Training/Certification as required by clients to work in their facilities and as required by TSi Geotechnical, Inc. at all locations.
