Acute Care Surgeon needed in Carrollton, GA (Permanent)Approx 40 minutes to Atlanta, GASchedule: Monday Friday, 7am 5pm; no weeknight call coverage responsibilities; weekend call coverage evenly split with general surgery physician colleaguesRequirements: M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school; unrestricted Georgia physician license (or ability to obtain); residency trained in General Surgery; board certified or eligible in General SurgeryJob Duties & Responsibilities:Provide coverage primarily for inpatient and emergency department consults at two acute care hospitals located in Carrollton, GA, and Villa Rica, GAReceive ED calls, transfers, and referrals from critical access hospitals in Bremen, GA, and Wedowee, ALFacility Highlights:Carrollton Surgical Group consists of 6 board-certified general surgeons and 4 full-time APPsThe hospital in Carrollton is a 181-bed (and growing) acute care facilityThe hospital in Villa Rica is a 53-bed (and growing) acute care facilityAbout Carrollton, GA:Located 40 minutes from downtown Atlanta, offering easy access to major city amenitiesEnjoy the benefits of living in a community with a lower cost of living and a family-friendly environmentExcellent schools and a variety of recreational activities availableClose proximity to the cultural and professional opportunities in Atlanta while providing a quieter suburban lifestyle
