Job Description:Mix Room Operator - CB1 - M Job DescriptionSan Antonio Texas based location.1st shift 5:30 - 4pm Monday - Thur - open for OT as neededQualifications-High School Diploma/GED-Able to demonstrate basic computer skills, math and problem-solving; mechanical, numerical, and verbal aptitude to learn our jobs quickly-Successfully complete a pre-employment mechanical aptitude test and interview process-Successful completion of background check, physical and drug screening is required-Must be able to read and follow, weight fractions of ounces, and measure accurately by gallons, pints, and ounces (good math skills)-Must be able to use various forms of PPE including respiratory protection-Ability to use hand tools and lift up to 50 lbs-Llifting, walking, standing, pushing, and pullingResponsibilities-The successful candidate in an Operator position will be trained in all facets paint mix room operation (Mixing, sampling, testing paint) to learn these essential duties of the position-The incumbent must operate production equipment safely to ensure the highest quality and correct quantity in accordance with the production schedule, standard operating procedures, and supervisory instructions-Operators will understand the mechanics of how to operate various types of equipment with confidence-Solve routine problems associated with job responsibilities-Performs all duties in a safe working manner, following all of Axalta's safety policies and procedures-Blend and mix toners to designated formula (by hand and using a mix machine)-Control paint viscosities and tank levels-Record and document all pertinent information when completing mixes-Make sure work area is cleaned up-Operate mix machine and paint delivery systems-Directly responsible for housekeeping and control of waste generationAbility to work schedule with assigned overtimeOur Company:Axalta has remained at the forefront of the coatings industry by continually investing in innovative solutions.
