Our client is seeking a General Manager to join their team in Abilene, TX! The General Manager i s responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all day-to-day operations, including sales (estimating and business development), quality, procurement, safety, customer service and finance. The General Manager is results-driven and has a high commitment to excellence through building relationships, identifying new growth opportunities, leading teams, managing P&L, and efficiently measuring daily operations. This role will require effective cross-functional and collaborative team work to achieve results. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments Manage budgets, set financial targets, and achieve divisional goals Build relationships with clients and vendors and possess an entrepreneurial spirit for growing, managing, and developing new opportunities Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities Implement cost-saving strategies across construction and field operations Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company growth Review scopes of work and contracts to ensure alignment with company standards and objectives Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely material availability and cost-efficiency Negotiate subcontracts with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective solutions Provide leadership and direction to the team, ensuring quality and efficiency Report directly to the President, providing regular updates on performance and strategic direction Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field preferred 5-7 years of experience in an operational/managerial role; painting/construction preferred Attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks Exceptional follow up and follow through on customer communications Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with a highly strategic perspective to best position the company Excellent verbal and written communication Demonstratable experience in developing strategic and business plans Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively Our client acknowledges that equal opportunity for all persons is a fundamental human value.
