Practice Area: Insurance Defense - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney with strong litigation skills and experience in file review, legal analysis, and representation of clients in various legal proceedings. Duties:Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action in general liability cases.Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.Meet an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.Regularly represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.Draft and respond to discovery requests effectively.Collaborate in retaining expert witnesses and coordinate their involvement in cases.Prepare thoroughly for trials and attend trials as required.Some travel may be necessary for case-related activities. Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.Admitted to practice law in the state of Missouri; admission in other states is advantageous.Experience in general liability is preferred; experience in other practice areas is a plus.Exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills.Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.Solid research capabilities and strong written and oral communication skills.Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries.Excellent client service skills and professional telephone manner. Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school. Skills:Proficiency in legal research databases and litigation support tools.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
