Practice Area: Insurance Defense - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm in Framingham, MA, is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to conduct file reviews, legal analysis, and represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and depositions. The role requires strong litigation skills, legal research, and the ability to manage a demanding caseload. Duties:Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.Maintain an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.Regularly represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions.Draft and respond to discovery requests.Assist in expert witness retention and collaboration.Prepare cases for trial and attend trials as necessary.Some travel may be required for case-related activities. Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.Admitted to practice law in the state of Massachusetts; admission in other states is a plus.Minimum of 1+ year of experience in General Liability, with a focus on litigation preferred.Exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills.Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.Solid research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills.Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries.Excellent client service skills and professional telephone manner. Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school. Skills:Proficiency in legal research databases and litigation support tools.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work product.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
