The ideal candidate will handle a caseload involving general liability insurance matters, from legal research and drafting documents to representing clients in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolutions.Job Duties:Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various legal issues related to general liability insurance matters.Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, agreements, and correspondence.Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings.Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases, providing support and assistance as needed.Maintain billable hours as required by the firm’s standards.Manage client relationships effectively, ensuring clear communication and responsiveness.Assist in all phases of litigation, including motion practice, conferences, mediations, and trials.Participate actively in discovery processes, particularly in conducting and defending depositions.Second-chair litigation experience at the trial level is preferred.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar Association in GA.2-3 years of experience in General Liability Insurance matters.2+ years of experience in a law office or similar legal environment; clerkships in Superior Court will also be considered.Familiarity with the Georgia Civil Practice Act and relevant matter-handling experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.Preferred Skills:Experience in discovery processes, including depositions and motion practice.Familiarity with second-chair litigation at the trial level.
