About the role PKL Services Inc. is seekinga knowledgeable administrative professional to support a military squadron in a General Clerk II role to provide administrative services in support of theCommander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF) at VFA-106, NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach VA. Task and Responsibilities: Follow clearly detailed procedures in performing simple repetitive tasks in the same sequence.Responsibilities include filing pre-coded documents in a chronological file, or operating office equipment, (e.g., mimeograph, photocopy, addressograph or mailing machine).This position uses some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence.Selects from alternative methods and refers problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures.Be familiar with the terminology of the office environment.Recognize problems and referred them to others. Routine Administrative Support Services Performance Objective: The contractor shall ensure routine administrative service are performed efficiently and professionally in accordance with established policies. The contractor shall greet visitors to the office and department, and answer questions regarding office procedures and policies.The contractor shall receive draft documents, enter into the tracking system, review each for completeness, prepare, proof, route for government review, and archive according to established guidelines and directives.The contractor shall make non-substantive changes real time. Recommendations for substantive changes shall be made to the Technical Assistant (TA) to the COR and implemented by the contractor upon TA approval.Documents include instructions, notices, directives, messages, letters, memorandums, point papers, leave requests, fitness reports/evaluations, award recommendations and briefings. Fitness reports/Evaluations Performance Objective: The contractor shall process Fitness Reports/Evaluations (FITREPS/EVALS) for appropriate Navy review according to established guidelines and directives. The contractor shall receive draft FITREPS/EVALS review each for completeness, prepare smooth documents, proof, and route for government review/signature. The contractor shall make non-substantive (punctuation and spelling) changes real time. Recommendations for substantive changes shall be made to the TA and implemented by the contractor upon TA approval.The contractor shall prepare administrative letters pertaining to FITREPS/EVALS as determined by the TA.Upon receipt of completed and signed FITREPS/EVAL documents, the contractor shall mail documents and maintain command and reporting senior files/archives according to established guidelines and directives. About you Wed love to hear from you if you have: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Past experience working in an office administrative environment. Preferred experience: Three (3) years experiences are preferred in a supervisory or managerial position in a U.S. Navy activity as a uniformed service member, civil servant or contractor employee performing routine Administrative, Personnel Administrative Support Services, or Travel Administrative Support Services duties. Familiarity with one or more of the following systems/processes/functions is desired: Command Pay/Personnel Support System (PASS); Command PASS Coordinator (CPC); Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), Transaction Online Processing (TOPS), Master Military Pay Account (MMPA), Electronic Service Records (ESR) Required Work Authorization/Security Clearance: This position is subject to a government security investigation. Requires access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII), unclassified sensitive information, unclassified Department of Defense Information Technology (DoD IT) systems, and the host installation or squadron spaces. Must be able to receive a Government Common Access Card (CAC), access Government systems, and requirements of Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 1000.13 and SECNAVMAN 5510.30 (series) and SECNAVINST 5211.5 (series) prior to performing administrative services outlined in the PWS. Must be able to attain and maintain a SECRET or Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (TS/SCI) Security Clearance. Occasional telework may also be required upon request of the customer or PKL. Travel: Five percent (5%) of travel may be required for job-related training attendance. Work Environment / Physical Requirements: Office environment Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key).
