Job Responsibilities This is an on:site Cook position located in Shrewsbury, MO. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, following recipes, and keeping the kitchen clean and well:organized. They will ensure that the food served is of high quality and will maintain a safe and sanitary work environment at all times. Job Requirements Schedule: The schedule will vary based on your availability and our staffing needs. Shifts are 10 hours: 6:30 am:12:30 pm and 2 pm:6:00 pm. Meals are served 3 times a day, 7 days per week. This position has the potential to grow into a regular schedule of part time or full time. Compensation: Hourly at 18.18 per hour. Uniforms and meals are included.Full time and half time new hires are eligible for generous benefits packages on first day of hire, including health, dental and vision insurances, paid time off and 403B retirement. Minimum Age Requirement: 21 years' old Vaccination Requirement: Must have or be willing to obtain at employers cost a full series Hepatitis A vaccination as required by the St. Louis County Health Department Skills and Attitudes Needed for Success: :Food Handler Certification a plus:Prior cooking experience, preferably in a commercial setting:Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques:Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines:Ability to follow recipes and work independently:Strong attention to detail and organizational skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills:Availability to work weekends:Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds:Ability to stand for long periods of time:Ability to be gentle and compassionate in communicating with retired priests:Provide excellent customer service, especially during mealtimes:Work well with executive chef, kitchen team, administrator, and other team members at Regina Cleri CommunityThe Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
