Summary The Day Care Center of New Canaan is hiring a full-time teaching assistant for our three's classroom starting fall of 2024. Applicants must possess one of the following: Bachelors, Associates or CDA in Early Childhood or Elementary Education. Position begins Monday August 19th, 2024Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 9:30am-5:30pm Thursday 7:30am-3:30pmA one hour unpaid lunch break is provided daily.Competitive salary and excellent benefits. Low staff turn over, warm and welcoming work environment, NAEYC accredited program. Duties Job Responsibilities: Be able to work in a team teaching setting Assist with planning and implantation of daily activities Be courteous and professional Maintain a positive attitude when communicating with children and families Complete 16 hours of continuing education annually Yearly epi-pen & first aid training (center will cover the cost) CPR training every 2 years (center will cover the cost) Requirements 1 year work experience in a childcare setting Email resume to Barbara Crolla, Director Nice To Haves Flexibility and dependability Some knowledge of NAEYC accreditation and project approach Benefits Sick, vacation, and personal time accrued on a monthly basis Health insurance offered
