Job Description Medevac Alabama is a growing ambulance service actively looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of financial record keeping, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles. Responsibilities Perform general ledger accounting and bookkeeping duties. Reconcile and analyze accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare financial statements and reports for management review. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes. Maintain and update financial records and documentation. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues. Work with an outside accounting firm to facilitate audits and provide necessary documentation and support. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and their application in financial record keeping. Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and balance sheet reconciliation. Strong organizational skills and accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies and financial issues efficiently Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of productivity. Requirements Minimum 3 years proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role. Proficiency in QuickBooks. Associate’s degree in accounting or finance; bachelor’s degree preferred. Certification such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar is preferred.
