Sierra Supply Chain Services Is searching for its next FSQ Supervisor to join us at our Hamilton Location @ 90 Glover Rd Full time $65K + Benefits + 2 Weeks Vac. About the Role: The Food Safety Quality Supervisor oversees the food safety and quality assurance department ensuring that all company products and services meet quality standards before they go to market including understanding customer expectations and needs, outlining quality standards, and developing quality control processes. Supervises FSQ Technicians to ensure they are performing appropriately. What you will be doing: Supervision and Coaching Supervision of the QA Technicians’ activities and assigning them tasks demanding priority. Coaching technical and manufacturing personnel on GMP and food safety practices. Coach the quality team to accomplish KPI targets. Food Saftey Seek opportunities for improving food safety, quality, and sanitation through close observation on the plant floor. Provides oversight and direction to the plant sanitation Production disposition (Hold and release program). Ensure Hazard control is followed, ensure GMP practices are met, provide enforcement for food safety and training. Liaison with CFIA and act as the primary contact Execution and monitoring of HACCP and BRC programs of the plant. Monitoring & Verification Conducts monitoring and verification tasks effectively and completes with the determined Assist in the facilitation of different kinds of audits such as third-party, customer, CFIA, internal audits etc. Manage the plant supplier approval program (meat, packaging, and ingredients) Reviewing, filing, and conducting corrective actions when needed of all the lab results including microbiological, chemical and physical testing. Lead and conduct at least traceability exercises as per program requirement Provide feedback to production, maintenance, and sanitation regarding the issues, which could result in minimizing customer complaints.
