Position Summary: The Front End Manager is responsible for delivering strong outcomes that model integrity, build trust and align with the mission, vision, and values of our co-op. This position oversees the operations of the Front End department to ensure excellent customer outcomes, effective team leadership, a positive and safe work environment, organized and efficient operations, a visually appealing space, and strong financial outcomes. Specific areas of accountability include customer service and sales transactions, team leadership, health and safety, operations, financial (including reconciliation duties), and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for staff and customers. This position is also responsible for collaborating with Mississippi Markets administrative functions (HR, Finance, Marketing, Purchasing) to ensure strong organizational alignment and communications. This role requires positivity, strong leadership, team building, communication, problem solving, intercultural competence, prioritization/multitasking skills, accountability, and attendance/punctuality as well as adaptability, initiative, resiliency, judgment, and integrity. Who We're Looking For: Retail Experience: experience in retail setting including working at the point of sale Team Leadership: supervisory experience including hiring, training, development, performance management, and team building Coaching: experience coaching staff to positive outcomes Customer Service: experience providing prompt and respectful customer service, going "above and beyond" to delight customers Safety: demonstrated knowledge and track record of meeting staff safety standards and following best practices Process Management : experience working with others to design and implement processes and/or systems, process evaluation and improvement Communication: demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff in a responsive and caring manner Conflict Management: demonstrated ability to resolve conflict respectfully, effectively, and fairly "Can-Do-Attitude": demonstrates a positive, adaptable, and flexible attitude with a strong commitment to being a team player Basic Math: ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Computer Skills: basic computer skills including ability to draft and upload documents, email, and navigate Excel spreadsheets Preferred Qualifications: Industry Knowledge: experience in grocery retail setting Financial Accounting: demonstrated understanding of financial statements including P&L (sales, margin) Budgeting: experience scheduling and managing labor Multilingual Location: 1500 West 7th Street, Saint Paul, MN 55102 Schedule: Current shifts available vary, and may include day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
