Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Forklift Operator in Florence, NJ. Hours are: 8:00AM - 4:30PM POSITION SUMMARY: Under daily supervision, responsible for accurate receiving, shipping, and processing of materials and parts. Responsible for the safe operation of forklift, clamping and cleaning equipment. Stacking and pulling merchandise to meet company standards of safety, security, and productivity. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following: Operate gas powered or electric forklifts and clamps (cherry picker, reach and sit-down forklift equipment with lifting devices to push, pull, stack or move products.) in an efficient and safe manner, including daily inspections of the equipment. Perform minor maintenance and adjustments. Advise management of all equipment problems and failures. Utilize RFUI handheld scanner to complete picking tasks from the daily assigned orders Utilize RFUI handheld scanner to complete goods receive and goods put away tasks for inbound product Pulls stored materials and moves to shipping area. Packages, audits for accuracy and stages materials for shipping Loads outbound trucks and containers with material and audits the accuracy of the process Offloads and receives material from containers and trucks. Audit shipping manifest for accuracy and stores material. Documents information relating to the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials. Ensure that the warehouse is clean and organized and that all safety issues are reported. Remain vigilant and cognizant of all potential theft or loss situations. Ensures that warehouse is secure when unattended. Follow all CTPAT guidelines while completing work assignments and duties Ensure that temporary or seasonal employees are performing duties as assigned. Performs repetitive work such as loading and offloading containers, stacking and storing materials. Meet performance/productivity standards Regular, reliable, predictable attendance Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Forklift Certification / License required 3 + years of forklift experience; reach/sit down, cherry picker Must be able to pass Forklift Driving Skills test WMS experience preferred; SAP experience highly preferred Previous experience in appliance or HVAC material handling Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 70 lbs. occasionally) Sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including a pallet jack, forklift and by hand Safely walk, stand and operate equipment for extended periods of time on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously. The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $20.38 and $28.03 per hour however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave, if eligible.
