Job Type: Full-time Worksite: On-site Location: Washington, DC Duties: Prepare and deliver breakfast, lunch, dinner, and evening snacks according to USDA and DC Department of Health guidelines. Ensure meals meet nutritional standards, including specific dietary needs such as Heart Healthy, Therapeutic, and Special diets. Maintain food supplies, materials, and equipment required for meal preparation and delivery. Develop and submit cycle menus for heart-healthy, Therapeutic, and Special diets on a quarterly basis. Ensure menus are approved by a registered dietitian and comply with all nutritional requirements. Provide a nutritional analysis of meals and submit any menu changes for approval. Store perishable food items at proper temperatures to prevent spoilage and contamination. Maintain adequate inventory and implement stock rotation procedures. Comply with all federal, state, and local licensing and regulatory requirements. Maintain records of dietary orders, menu substitutions, and inventory. Develop and implement an emergency plan to ensure continuity of food services during unforeseen circumstances. Ensure all staff involved in food preparation, delivery, and handling meet health and safety regulations. Provide ongoing training for staff in food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. Requirements: Experience in food service management, preferably in a similar setting. Knowledge of USDA and DC Department of Health guidelines for meal preparation.
